For five years, OVO energy had been partnered with Cool Earth to support the rainforests. The Ashaninka people of the Amazon had a fascinating story to tell, and their gratitude to supporters in the UK was immense. The project had reached sustainable levels, and support would now be directed to the Congo. But we wanted to share the story from South America.
I was lucky enough to go to South America and see it first hand, camera in the other. This was to be long-form documentary content for OVO’s blog and social channels. We would also send a personalised digital thank you to OVO’s customers.
Four OVO employees are on their way to Peru to visit the Ashaninka people and bring back insights which will engage fellow colleagues and customers in the partnership and build future support of Cool Earth’s work.
To make the most of the visit, I wanted to make sure we could create more content. The idea of the end to end production of chocolate, from bean to bar seemed interesting. Upon returning to London, I arranged a visit to Cool Earth's partner in Cornwall - Chocolarder. It was freezing cold, but Mike's enthusiasm comes across on camera.
The result - a mutually beneficial Easter film.
A set of pages were created to form a central hub linking all OVO's rainforest and Cool Earth content together. This made sense of the facebook, youtube and instagram posts, as well as blog posts which had been created over the course of 5 years.
One of the outcomes of the content was to encourage more donations to the OVO Foundation. To hear more on creating the OVO Foundation, please send me a message.
