With the release of their Lumia 920; a camera-phone posessing photographic prowess, Nokia sponsored a series of shows called CNN Celebrates. The events of Halloween, Diwali, Solar Eclipse, Christmas, NYE.... all perfect alignment for illustrating the camera's performance.
Playing on the perceived photographic conditions at celebratory events, wording in the ads complimented each scenario: For Halloween, 'See in the dark'. For Solar Eclipse, 'Never miss a moment' etc..
The designs adopted a fairly light-hearted tone. The CNN homepage became spooky house exterior - cats, bats emerging from an opening door, cobwebs and eyeballs for Halloween. An animated Christmas tree across the entire page in the run up to the festive season. These designs made for a very happy client.
